Account & Data Deletion

At Global Plate Collector, you have full control over your personal information and account data. In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store data policies and privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA), you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.

You can complete your deletion request using either of the methods outlined below.

Option 1: Request Deletion via Web / Email (No App Required)

If you have already uninstalled the application or prefer to submit a deletion request online without opening the app, contact our support team directly.

Verification: Please send your request from the email address linked to your Google Sign-In or Apple ID so we can verify account ownership.

Option 2: Delete Directly Inside the App

Instant

If the Global Plate Collector app is installed on your device, you can delete your account instantly through your settings:

1 Open Global Plate Collector on your device.
2 Navigate to Settings > Account & Support (or Account & Backup).
3 Select Delete Account and confirm your choice.

In-app deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What Data Is Deleted

When an account deletion request is processed, the following information is permanently removed from our databases (Supabase) and authentication systems:

Authentication & Profile

Email address, unique user account ID, display name, and all associated authentication tokens.

Collection & Spotting Records

All saved license plates, country/state/region tags, spot timestamps, notes, and custom collection logs.

Progress & Leaderboards

Collector points, level progression, unlocked achievements, friend codes, and public rankings.

Cloud Sync & Backups

All database records and synchronized cloud backups tied to your user identifier.

Data Retention & Processing Policy

In-app deletion requests are processed immediately upon confirmation.

Web and email deletion requests are processed and permanently wiped within 7 business days following identity verification.

We do not retain, store, or sell copies of your personal data after account deletion. If you also wish to revoke Google or Apple login permissions on your device, you can manage third-party app permissions directly in your Google Account Security settings or Apple ID settings.
